Summary0001588: No e-mails can be sent from cacert.org sender address
DescriptionWhile sending an e-mail to an e-mail-address from a cacert.org sender address with an e-mail-programm, I get the followiing error message:

Senden der Nachricht fehlgeschlagen.
Fehler beim Senden der Nachricht: Der Mail-Server antwortete:
<myname@cacert.org>: Sender address rejected: not owned by user myname.
 Bitte überprüfen Sie die E-Mail-Adresse des Empfängers "hisname@hisprovider.de" und wiederholen Sie den Vorgang.

The same happens to all other e-mail addresses, even @cacert.org

If there are more than one address in the e-mail, in the error message is shown only the first one. If I remove that one and try to send again, the next one is mentioned in the error message, etc. etc.

Nota: Receiving works well.
Steps To Reproduceopen thunderbird
go to the cacert account
create new e-mail
send it

server: community.cacert.org
Port 143
IMAP

Time:
The last e-mail I could send was on April 25, 2026, 01:00
The first e-mail I has to send from a not CAcert account was on May 1st 2025 10:10

Today finally sending from cacert.org addresses worked again, but it was not possible to send e-mails to cacert.org-lists. See the following mailer daemon message:
