| Description | Unlike the "My Location" page, which threw me to the next page as soon as I finished entering the new location, the "Find an Assurer" page does exactly nothing and there's no button or similar that could be activated. | ||||

Did you try to press "Enter" in the field? |

In w3m, Return (Enter) is used to switch between navigation (on the page) and editing the field. It doesn't do anything else. |

FYI, w3m is a text-based browser, similar to Lynx. I have not used it. Has anyone else tried this using that browser? We use AJAX, which may not be supported on that browser program. |

I've been using w3m for cacert.org since I first joined. Apart from this new AJAX stuff for entering a location, it has always worked fine. It doesn't support JavaScript (and therefore AJAX), but that doesn't matter, since I'd deactivate it for security reasons anyway. |

AJAX means "Asynchronous JavaScript And XML". Why does anyone expect this to work with JavaScript disabled? |

The site is designed to work with or without JS, however JS adds extra functionality, but if there are browsers that operate differently then everything else this is a corner case and we'll be chasing our tails for years trying to cover every aspect of every browser someone ever tries to come up with. |

I never expected this bells and whistles stuff (location autocompletion and the like) to work without JavaScript. I do, however, expect cacert.org to be _usable_ without JavaScript. |

Works here with Firefox (Javascript disabled) and lynx (no Javascript support at all, version 2.8.5rel.1). Unfortunately, w3m did not liked my passphrase (I didn't manage to get logged in) so I could not test the form with w3m. Sascha: Did you tried with "Berlin, Berlin, Germany"? Are you able to use a "more common" browser such as Firefox or Konqueror? If your problem persists, I suggest you file a new bug as the general problems seems to be solved. Maybe this is w3m specific. |
