Columns for timestamps should always be of type TIMESTAMP (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/timestamp.html ), so timestamps are internally stored as GMT. A timezone can be explicitly set for a DB connection with the command "SET time_zone = '+00:00'" (this example sets GMT timezone). |
